We humans have been around for a long time now. Still it hasn’t penetrated our thick skulls that we have enormous power.
I’m not talking about the power to blow things up. I’m talking about the power to make this Earth close to paradise.
That’s for two reasons. First, a great many of the world’s problems are caused by us humans. We could simply decide to stop. Second, we could do far more than we do to alleviate the problems that are not caused by us.
But maybe we’ve reached the bottom of the pit. Maybe we’ll all soon wake up. Maybe we’ll soon earnestly get to work. Maybe we’ll soon extend the hand of cooperation to each other.
Let us pray that that may be the case.
