Why doesn’t Illinois have a law mandating motorcycle drivers and passengers to wear helmets? All passengers are required to have their seat belts fastened whenever in vehicles. Requiring all motorcyclists to wear helmets is not that demanding.
Most motorcyclists already do wear helmets just for their own safety, but those who do not are in great danger of serious accidents occurring, which could take their lives.
I have heard too many horror stories about motorcycle drivers and want those to end. Wearing helmets is not all that difficult and it will save lives!
