HIGHLAND PARK

District 112

Early childhood screening for Spanish-speaking students will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 and April 21 in the district office, 1936 Green Bay Rd. The screenings are for children who will turn 3 or 4 years old by Sept. 1 where there is concern in the areas of speech and language, learning or motor development. A college selection panel will be held for juniors and their parents at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the auditorium at Lake Forest High School, 1285 N. McKinley Rd. Seniors will share their journeys through the maze of selection, application and deposit.

The Siemens Foundation and the College Board recently announced that Lake Forest High School received the 2005-06 Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement. As one of 50 high schools nationally to win the award this year, Lake Forest will receive a $1,000 grant to support science and math education.
