MTV asked some of the game’s biggest rappers to name their “Greatest MCs of All Time.”
Jay-Z rattled off seven, including Eminem, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac and his one-time lyrical rival (and now partner) Nas. “[I’m] somewhere in there,” he joked.
For the record, Nas named Jay-Z.
Ice Cube’s list featured names like Rakim and Reverend Run. Mary J. Blige took it back to KRS-One.
And Lloyd Banks singled out some big guns like LL Cool J and his G-Unit partner 50 Cent.
As for Fif? “I mean, Rakim was way ahead of his time when he came out,” he said. “To me, him and KRS-One were the best rappers.”
