The Really Short Film Fest is more than just an international film showcase. There’s also live music by Beatallica (yes, Beatles meets Metallica) and a burlesque performance by The Devil Dolls. 7 p.m. Saturday at Abbey Pub (3420 W. Grace St.). $10 advance, $12 at the door. Must be 21.
To eat
Grabbing half-price Easter candy is even better now because Saturday is Jelly Bean Day! Just for you number crunchers and trivia lovers: Brach’s has 20 different flavors, while Jelly Belly boasts 50.
To collect
Picking up second-hand stuff sounds pretty good if it’s part of the Chicago Cubs garage sale for charity. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, stop by Wrigley Field to nab bricks, bleacher benches, flags and even foul poles. There’ll also be game-used equipment and autographed memorabilia. Park in the Green Lot (1126 W. Grace St.).
To watch
Saturday will be the first time the Emmys will honor programming created for nontraditional viewing platforms–that’s computers, cell phones, iPods and PDAs. Live-action mobisodes from “24” and mtvU’s “Stand In” are just a few. Watch or download the nominees at emmyonline.org.
