– Three NBC dramas, “Medium,” “Crossing Jordan” and “Las Vegas,” will be back next season, the network said Friday. NBC also has a sixth edition of “The Apprentice” and a new Sunday-night NFL package in line for fall.

– The Sci Fi Channel will delve into the back story of “Battlestar Galactica” with a series that looks at the years leading up to humanity’s devastation by the Cylons. The prequel, called “Caprica,” will be set more than 50 years before the events of “BSG” when the Twelve Colonies are at peace and on the verge of a technological breakthrough: the first Cylon.

– The opening of “In Search of Paradise: Great Gardens of the World,” the photographic exhibition set for Chicago’s Millennium Park, has been delayed for a week until May 12 because of production problems, the park said. The exhibition will run through Oct. 22.

– Actor and Chicago native John C. Reilly will be a guest on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” on May 11 when the show will be visiting Chicago.
