Senior SEC officials address lawyers at Northwestern
Keynote speaker Martin Dunn and six other senior Securities and Exchange Commission officials will address issues facing corporate and securities lawyers at Northwestern University School of Law’s 26th Annual Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate and Securities Law Institute.
Part of a continuing legal education program, the Garrett Institute is taking place Thursday and Friday at the School of Law, 357 E. Chicago Ave.
The institute will cover issues such as proposed disclosure rules for executive compensation, implications of the new reform process for securities offerings and dealing with activist stockholders.
Participants from the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance include: John W. White, the new director; keynote speaker Dunn and Shelley E. Parratt, deputy directors; Carol A. Stacey, chief accountant; Paula Dubberly, associate director; and Pamela A. Long, assistant director.
