My review of Blue Fin: This is one of the best sushi restaurants in the city. It’s a perfect date option [due to] the exquisite decor and tasty sushi. The menu is boundless with many different options for both sushi and non-sushi eaters.
My favorite BYOB spot: Tango Sur (3763 N. Southport Ave. 773-477-5466). I usually bring an intelligent and beautiful date, paired with two wonderful bottles of wine. (One for the wait, and one for the meal).
Favorite brunch spot: Bongo Room (1152 S. Wabash St. 312-291-0100; 1470 N. Milwaukee Ave. 773-489-0690), for the brown sugar and pecan pancakes.
Best under-the-radar spot: Thai Lagoon. This place is precious. It’s small and eclectic, but the food is very flavorful and extremely inexpensive. A BYOB is always a plus!
My guilty pleasure: Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! is the trendy option in Lincoln Park. It’s an interactive way of eating, plus the “scenery” is always exceptional.
