She has a new show on E! and a book recapping her one-night stands. Now … if she could just get a date! Handler is taking time off from taping her new show, “The Chelsea Handler Show,” this week to do stand-up at Zanies on Wednesday and Thursday. In a phone interview, Handler dished to me about her new show, her craziest one-night stand and the secret to a healthy relationship.

How did you get approached to do a show with the E! network?

They said, “Would you just want to make an ass of yourself on a regular basis?” So I said yes. They are letting me get away with murder..

Since you’ve put details about your sex life out there in your book (“My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands”), do you find it harder or easier to find a date?

The marriage proposals have not been coming in since I have been published. Guys think I am going to have sex with them right away. … Men are just scared.

What has been your craziest one-night stand?

I would say the midget. It was pretty scary. It was the looks of horror on my sisters’ faces. And the guy who played leather dress-up.

How do you get material for stand-up?

Mostly from my girlfriends and stuff that happens to me in real life.

What was a favorite prank you did on your hidden camera show “Girls Behaving Badly”?

I was wearing a fake pregnancy suit. They thought they were doing make-up for me and my baby when it came out.

So what does the queen of one-night stands think is the key to a healthy relationship?

Ketel One vodka and two 9-volt batteries.
