Congratulations to Phil Rogers for his May 8 column exposing Dusty Baker and his coaching staff. I’ve been an ardent Cubs fan for 60 years, and this is the most listless, unexciting, poorly managed team I’ve seen.
They have traded good young pitchers for a leadoff man who can’t get on base, and an array of highly paid utility players who can’t hit their weight. The loyal Cubs fans deserve a contender, or at least a better product on the field.
