– Filmmaker Michael Moore will present the second-annual Traverse City Film Festival July 31 to Aug. 6. The Michigan fest will be two days longer than its predecessor and feature about twice as many films–nearly 50. Moore currently is working on a movie, called “Sicko,” about the U.S. health-care system.
– A copy of the album “A Hard Day’s Night” signed by all four Beatles in 1964 fetched more than $40,000 at auction in London over the weekend, the BBC reported. Other Beatles memorabilia sold at the Christie’s auction included a letter from John Lennon to his first wife, Cynthia, which sold for more than $20,000. It is signed: “your famous ex-husband” and has doodles of a face and trees.
