Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

You can tell a heat wave is finally on the way. I got cold again. I rode a CTA bus.

Recently it was about 75 degrees out when I got on a CTA bus. I needed a jacket. It was at least 10 degrees colder than the outside temperature, and I couldn’t find a seat anywhere without having to sit in a cold draft. The term is “air conditioning,” not “chilling.” Another important term is “thermostat.” And don’t forget working windows.

On a 75-degree day, that is all of the air conditioning we need, and it is free.

I can’t imagine how uncomfortable I would have been if I was just wearing a T-shirt and shorts, summer wear.
