The National Safe Boating Council has launched the “Be a Survivor!” contest, a national initiative to highlight the importance of wearing a lifejacket. Recreational boaters are asked to submit testimonials as to how the lifejacket has made a difference in their boating. Enter at www.SafeBoatingCampaign.com or get an entry form at any West Marine store beginning June 16. Finalists will be published in the NSBC’s book, “Saved By the Jacket,” and will be eligible for prizes. Deadline is Sept. 4.
