– Joseph Gannascoli, who played gay mobster Vito on HBO’s “The Sopranos,” is being sued by the maker of diet drug Stacker 2. The company filed a lawsuit Thursday claiming Gannascoli hasn’t been doing enough to promote the product after receiving about $316,000 over the last 2 1/2 years. Gannascoli disputed the claim, saying, “They didn’t like I was doing the gay thing” in his TV role.
– Pete Doherty was searched for drugs at a Barcelona airport Thursday after the pilot radioed ahead to report suspicious behavior, but was cleared to proceed after no drugs were found, authorities said.
