Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston’s movie opened at No. 1 at the box office, “X-Men: The Last Stand” opened at No. 2 and Al Gore’s movie even cracked the top 10. All in all it was a great weekend for mutants.

Kenny G turns 50 on Monday. In a few more years he’ll be old enough to enjoy his own music.

Taylor Hicks says he was surprised to find out about a drinking game based on his “American Idol” catchphrases. As if that show doesn’t cause enough brain damage by itself.

Meanwhile, you have to admire Chris Daughtry for turning down Fuel to do his own thing. Which, a few years from now, may well involve flipping burgers.

Pakistani officials have banned movie theaters from showing “The Da Vinci Code.” Wait until they find out there might be a prequel to “The Dukes of Hazzard.”
