Edward Klecka, 74, of Huntley, passed away on June 5, 2006 at Provena Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin. He was born May 20, 1934 and is the son of John and Frances Klecka. Edward served with the U.S Marines during the Korean War and has been la long time member of the American Legion Post #57 in Elgin. He also worked for American Airlines in California and Chicago. He is survived by his children, Debra (Joe) Cornwell of California, Sharon (Paul) Popp of California, Edward J. (Lynn) Klecka of California and Larry (Cheryl) Klecka of Nevada; six grandchildren, Ryan and Jennifer Klecka, Shannon and Michelle O’Leary, Chelsea Cornwell, Brittni Popp; his sister, Pam (Burt) Grocke of FL; nieces and nephews, John (Pam) Grocke, Brett (Molly) Grocke and Betsy (Daniel) Britt; great-nephew, Jack and greatnieces, Jennifer and Alina; beloved companion Pat Hein-Bretto of Huntley. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Arlene, his second wife Geraldine, and a daughter Kathleen Klecka. Funeral service will be on Monday at 10 a.m. at Madison Funeral Home. Entombment will be private at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 until 7 p.m. Memorials to American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
