While I concur that Wrigley Field is an economic engine for portions of the Chicagoland area, it hardly benefits the entire area.
I don’t pretend to know the extent of the intangible assets provided by Wrigley Field or U.S. Cellular Field. There is one thing I do know, though, and that is the fact that the baseball world definitely knows that the White Sox exist–it was all over the news when they won the World Series.
White Sox Nation is proud that our team is the reigning World champions, and will leave all the attendance and financial titles to the fans of those Lovable Losers.
