Sam Dickey is correct when he states that there are bicyclists who ignore the rules of the road.

Just after Bike the Drive on May 28, as I was getting in my car after the ride, two cyclists came pedaling the wrong way on a one-way street.

I think riders who disregard the law should be ticketed, just as any motor-vehicle driver would be.

But however much it may displease Dickey, he himself needs to obey the law that allows bicyclists to ride legally on the street.

If he chooses not to share the road, he is as guilty of ignoring the law as the bicyclists he obviously dislikes.
