James J. Murray, age 76, fond friend of Marie Kross; cherished brother of Joseph (Dennis Kluge) Murray and the late Michael, Edward and Lawrence; loving father of James (Geri), Terrance, Michael (Sharon), Kathleen (George) Giron, Patrick (Debbie) and Margaret Walker; grandfather of 11; and great-grandfather of eight. He will be greatly missed by the entire Murray and Kross families. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Federation of Grain Millers, DAV, American Legion, VFW and a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Yurs-Wittenberg Funeral Home, 1771 West State Street (Rt. 38), Geneva, IL. Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
