Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Since the tritium issue was announced in November 2005, I believe Exelon has done a good job of keeping local officials and the citizens of Braidwood informed of its findings (Voice of the people, June 6).
I also believe the actions Exelon announced months ago and that were recently agreed to by the attorney general and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency are the right ones to address the tritium in the groundwater.
While the testing by both Exelon and Will County shows that there is no public health or safety hazard from the tritium, I appreciate Exelon’s diligence to remedy the situation.
I believe despite the current problem that Exelon is a good neighbor.
