Denise Richards says she’s no husband-stealer.
A romance with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora–who had just split with her best friend, actress Heather Locklear–was “the last thing I was looking for,” Richards tells TV tabloid “Entertainment Tonight” in an interview that was to air Monday night. Excerpts from the interview appeared Monday on people.com.
Richards, who recently split from husband Charlie Sheen after trying to reconcile, also went on record as saying Locklear “wasn’t my best friend. She was a close friend in the last couple of years. I hadn’t known her my whole life [like] people [are] portraying this.”
“You know you can’t help who you fall for, and that friendship [with Locklear], unfortunately, was done and wasn’t salvageable.”
