Thomas W. Jochimsen, 73, 201 Galesburg Road, Knoxville, IL, died at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006 at home. He was born Feb. 8, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Thomas and Marie Yeek Jochimsen. He married Carole Pankey on Sept. 1, 1956 in Galesburg, IL. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Janet (Larry) Brown of Wilmette, IL, Anne (Jorge) Saenz of Grand Rapids, MI and Susan (Gary) Gossett of Winter Haven, FL; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a sales administrator for the former Gale Products Division of Outboard Marine Corporation in Galesburg for 18 years. He graduated from Wauwatosa High School in Milwaukee in 1951. He received his B.S. Degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1958. He was raised and lived in Wisconsin in the Milwaukee and Madison areas. He moved to Galesburg in 1967 and to Knoxville in 1970. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Galesburg, where he held numerous positions, including past president of the church council. He was also a member of the Harry M. Philblad American Legion Post 749 in Knoxville and the Delta Upsilon Fraternity at the University of Wisconsin. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul Johnson will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery.
