William T. Sloan passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006 and his wife, Margaret Sloan passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006. Visitation Tuesday, June 13, 2006 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Gatling’s Chapel, 10133 S. Halsted, Chicago. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at St. James AME Church, 9256 S. Lafayette, Chicago. A Pre-past and viewing will be held at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with Services beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be immediately following Services at Lincoln Cemetery, 12300 S. Kedzie Ave., Chicago. William Sloan is a retiree of the Chicago Tribune, where he worked as a mechanic and Margaret Sloan is a retiree of Moser Box Co., where she worked as a machinist. They leave to cherish their memory four daughters, Anne Livingston of Arizona, Ernestine Watson, Gwendolyn Jackson and Sharon Sloan, all of Chicago. Four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
