Liberals say they support the troops but not their reasons for being in Iraq. That’s illogical. To expose the illogic of that position, let’s use this analogy: A woman says to her husband, “Honey, you know I can’t stay at home anymore, so today I went out and got a very important job.”

The husband replies, “I love you very much, but leaving home to do that job was stupid and not a worthwhile endeavor.” Would any woman consider that great support from her husband? Yes, he loves her, but he’s certainly not supporting her. And she feels terrible about it. The point is, support does not mean you love or care about someone. It means you that you’re behind their decisions and what they’re doing, even if you sometimes disagree.
