Michael “Mike” Kolasinski, age 56, a Plainfield resident since 1995, formerly of Chicago, IL, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at his home. He was born Jan. 23, 1950 in Chicago. Mike is survived by his wife, Karen, nee Uchison, Carlson Kolasinski, whom he married April 5, 1986; a daughter, Kellie (Art) Erickson; a son, Eric Carlson; two brothers, Richard (Virginia) Kolasinski and Ronald (Connie) Kolasinski; his mother-in-law, Regina Uchison; a sister-in-law, Linda Winiecki; a nephew, Greg (Amy) Hildebrand; and a niece, Kristie Kolasinski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mildred Kolasinski; his father-in-law, Peter Uchison; and a brother-in-law Jerry Winiecki. Mike served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the University of Illinois-Chicago for 18 years as an auto mechanic. Visitation Friday, June 16, 3 to 8 p.m. at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 309 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL. Services will begin Saturday, June 17, 10 a.m. at the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Immaculate Church, 129 S. Division St., Plainfield, IL.
