– British prosecutors said Thursday that they would not charge Kate Moss on allegations of cocaine use. The investigation began after the Daily Mirror published pictures in September of the 32-year-old supermodel allegedly using cocaine in a West London music studio.

– Paul Newman is considering his final scene. “I will probably have one film left in me,” the 81-year-old actor said Thursday. “The last hurrah.” Newman said he has a project in mind, but he would not provide further details. “When it’s time to get out, it’s time to get out.”

– British sculptor David Hensel thought the opportunity to exhibit at the Royal Academy’s prestigious summer exhibition in London would send his career soaring. Instead, he was bemused to find that his laughing human head has been left out. All that is on display is its plinth. Officials said Hensel submitted the pieces separately, and they preferred the base, which was cut from an old mortuary slab and took one day to make.

– Music director James Levine said he will return to the podium for the July 7 opening of the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Tanglewood summer program for the first time since injuring his shoulder in a fall four months ago. “I’m thrilled to be back,” Levine said in a statement released Thursday by the BSO.
