As an avid cyclist and regular bike commuter, the city’s plan to improve and expand the network of bike paths sounds great to me. But when there’s a foot of snow on the ground, I still rely on motorized transport. Meanwhile the CTA operates as if no Chicagoan minds waiting a half-hour for a bus, at any time of day or any weather, and assumes that we only want to go to the Loop and back.
