So the Chicago Park District is considering raising parking for the Bears games to $100 (Metro, June 15)? Shame on them.

I thought the Park District is supposed to serve the public. If they want to produce more revenue, why don’t they find ways to promote the services they offer instead of gouging the people who tailgate? For a family of four with $60 tickets, parking will now mean a $340 day, and that’s not counting food.

Is the Park District going to charge $100 for parking for Northerly Island events? Probably not. Then why target football fans?
