In his letter to the editor, Rick Novack says, “Sox fans should look northward and thank God for the Cubs.”

I think what he meant to say was that Cubs fans should look upward and ask God, “Help the Cubs!”

I’m sure it’s been pointed out to him before, but many of the “fans” at the “cash cow” Wrigley Field are not really fans.

They are tourists and those who go out to see and be seen.

The Cubs cater to these types of people, who are willing to pay lots of money to watch a struggling team just for the “experience” that supposedly is Wrigley Field.

The White Sox cater to families and those people who would actually like to see (good) baseball when they go to a game.

And I think that ever since Oct. 26, 2005, many more people outside of the South Side know exactly who the White Sox are.

And I also think that ever since Oct. 26, 2005, Sox Park is generating more than enough revenue for the team and for the city.

Don’t you think winning the World Series is nationally appealing?
