John “Sunny” Teifert, 82, of Spring Hill, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. He was born in Chicago and came to this area 18 years ago. John was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served in WWII. He retired from the Chicago Sun-Times. He enjoyed watching golf, shopping and was a quiet and caring man. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving daughter, Judy (Les) Taylor of Marengo, IL; three grandchildren, Luke Basic of Chicago, Dan and Lauren Basic, both of Reno, NV; niece, Donna Dreyer of Hometown, IL and other nieces and nephews. John will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Cemetery, with his wife and son.
