Transcripts of cockpit conversations between the pilots of a Southwest Airlines plane that skidded off a snowy runway while attempting to land at Midway in December will be made public Tuesday during a hearing into the accident that killed a child. The cockpit voice recorder tapes are expected to shed new light on the crew’s decision to land at Midway instead of an airport where the weather was better and the runways longer.
