This is regarding “Suicide at Guantanamo” (Editorial, June 13). Here’s how I look at the suicides. We did everything in our power to prevent some disturbed, determined individuals from taking their own lives. In the end, sadly, we were not able to prevent them from doing away with themselves. We did prevent them, however, from possibly blowing up a score of innocent bystanders–not a small measure of success in dealing with potentially bloodthirsty fanatics.
