Max Pastin, 79, beloved husband of Isabelle Stone Pastin for 58 years; loving father and advisor of Susan Pastin Skinner and Fredda; proud grandfather and mentor of Samantha, Zarin, Sabrina, and Paris; brother of the late Alex, Morley, and Benny Pastin; fond brother-in law of Burton Stone; uncle of Brenda, Julian and Florence, Joshua, Jeremy, and Jessica Pastin. An attorney for 50 years and an arbitrator, he was the President of the Blowitz-Ridgeway Foundation nonprofit agency. He touched and enriched many lives. He bravely fought lung cancer until June 20, when he died with grace and dignity. Now he is at peace. Graveside service 11 a.m. Thursday, Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 N. Ravenswood, Chicago, IL.
