Norman H. Wenig, age 80, of Michigan City, IN, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at his residence. Funeral Services were held Friday, June 16 at Sinai Temple. Burial was in Sinai Temple Cemetery, Michigan City, IN. Mr. Wenig was born Nov. 9, 1925 in Chicago to Louis and Bess, nee Halperin, Wenig, both whom preceded him in death. On June 11, 1950 in Michigan City he married Janice C. Kottler, she survives in Michigan City. Also surviving are son, Donald K. (Marsha) Wenig of LaPorte; daughters, Jeri (Jeff) Gadd of Chicago and Elizabeth (Robbie) York of LaPorte; grandchildren, Kyle and Austin York, Dakota and Kiva Wenig; brother, Jerome Wenig of Boca Raton, FL; and sister, Evelyn (Oliver) Preston of Palo Alto, CA. Mr. Wenig had been president of Kingsley Furniture until his retirement. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.
