With the Gay Games coming to town next month, you’re sure to feel even more revved up than usual at this annual neighborhood fest celebrating the gay and lesbian communities. It won’t be hard to find a party in Boystown, but here are a few worthwhile stops to consider this weekend.

MOBFEST: SEXY MF

9 p.m. Thu.; $10. Martyrs’, 3855 N. Lincoln Ave.; 773-404-9869. What’s the next best thing to seeing Prince in the flesh? How about an all-female tribute to the artists now known as … ?

‘METH’

7 p.m. Thu.; free. Bailiwick Arts Center, 1229 W. Belmont Ave.; 773-989-9400. It’s an epidemic that’s sweeping the nation, and everyone from housewives to high schoolers have been hit. Stop by to see Todd Ahlberg’s documentary that explores the impact that meth has had in the gay community.

PRIDE PRE-PARTY

6-10 p.m. Fri.; $10. The Center on Halsted, in the lot at 3514 N. Halsted St.; 773-929-4357, www.centeronhalsted.org. It’s time to debut that fab new summer outfit. Deejays, dancing, a barbecue, live music and more is in store for revelers at this fresh kickoff soiree.

CHICAGO GAY MEN’S CHORUS

8 p.m. Fri., 8:30 p.m. Sat.; $15-$40. Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave.; 312-559-1212. Performing to music by Stephen Sondheim and others, also enjoy a performance by the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus.

GAY AND LESBIAN PRIDE PARADE

Noon Sun.; free. Moves north from Halsted Street and Belmont Avenue to Broadway, then south on Broadway before turning east on Diversey Parkway to Cannon Drive; 773-348-8243. It’s a massive street-closing party, that just happens to move in a procession. Floats, bands … even politicians are expected in the colorful mix, while parties and picnics will dot the lakefront.

PRIDE FEST

11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sat.; $5 donation benefits the Northalsted Area Merchants Association. Halsted Street from Waveland Avenue to Grace Street; 773-868-3010.
