Reese Witherspoon has sued Star magazine, alleging the tabloid ran a false story saying she is pregnant with her third child.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday in L.A. says a recent story falsely claimed that she didn’t want producers of two of her upcoming movies to know she was expecting.
Witherspoon’s rep denied to Us Weekly magazine that the “Legally Blonde” star was pregnant, and Us Weekly’s Web site posted pictures of a belly-baring Witherspoon enjoying a day at the beach last weekend under the headline “Reese So Not Pregnant.”
An attorney who represents Star magazine’s parent company called it “a frivolous lawsuit.”
