This is regarding “Despite protest, star-spangled tatters yet wave” (“What’s your problem?” column, Metro, June 14).
Kudos to reader Adam Young for objecting to the tattered flags flying at a used car lot. The flag is one of our sacred emblems. Too many have fought and died for it, and our flag deserves more respect than to wave all tattered and dirty.
We need more citizens like Young who care about our country and its flag.
