How humorous, predictable and typically duplicitous of baseball Commissioner Bud Selig to be upset by the signing bonus Jeff Samardzija might get from the Cubs after this year’s baseball draft.
Talk about a hypocrite. This meddling comes from the man who when still the owner of the Milwaukee Brewers secured a loan from Twins owner Carl Pohlad in direct violation of MLB rules regarding loans and the commingling of money between owners. Selig, as commissioner, typically played down this fiduciary violation on his part.
What a great country in which we live. A used car salesmen makes good, buys the Milwaukee franchise, runs it into the ground and along the way becomes commissioner of baseball.
If WGN ever brings back “Bozo’s Circus,” Selig could fill the clown opening.
