“Wunderbar.” That’s what I think of the piece written by Dan Hamilton on learning to speak German (“Understanding the weltschmerz of it all,” Commentary, June 7). Having recently returned from a trip to Germany, I was amazed to find so many English/American expressions incorporated into the everyday German language. I could understand almost everything. OK!
