– Base price on the 2007 Saturn Aura midsize sedan is $19,945. That is for an XE model with a 3.5-liter V-6 and 4-speed automatic transmission. The Aura XR, which has a 3.6-liter V-6 and 6-speed automatic, starts at $23,945. The prices do not include the $650 destination charge. Standard equipment on both includes anti-lock brakes, traction control, side air bags and side-curtain bags. The Aura goes on sale this summer.
– About 750 jobs will be added at Chrysler Group’s Toledo assembly plant this year to begin production on the Dodge Nitro sport-utility vehicle. Nearly all of the jobs on a new third shift, due to begin in the third quarter, will be filled by current or laid-off Jeep workers. The assembly plant, opened in 2001, produces the Jeep Liberty and Wrangler.
