Betty L. Brown, nee Baker, age 78, of Edgewood, New Mexico, formerly of Monticello, Indiana and Olympia Fields, IL. Graduate of Roosevelt H.S. Monticello, IN and Ivy Tech College, Kokomo, IN. Mrs. Brown helped found the family business, Jack Brown Buick, Inc. in Delphi, IN in 1955 and in Chicago Heights, IL in 1960 with her former husband. She also owned a pack and ship store in West Lafayette, IN until retiring to Santa Fe County, N.M. in 1997. Past member of Infant Welfare Society of Chicago Heights, St. James Hospital Auxiliary, Chicago Heights and Olympia Fields CC. Mother of Terrence (Carolyn) Brown of Olympia Fields, IL, Steven Brown of Estero, FL, Susan Roop of Edgewood, N.M. and the late Beth Ann Brown; former wife of Jack G. Brown of Estero, FL; grandmother of Kent Brown, Jack Roop, Matthew Brown and Amy Griffith; sister of Charles Baker of Crossville, TN and Jo Ann Pardi of Mission, TX; devoted and dear friend of Joy Starlof of New Port Beach, CA and Rosemary Yanson of Hazel Crest, IL; daughter of the late Esther, nee Cornell and Harry F. Baker.
