Dorothy S. Ito, nee Ikeda, age 83, died peacefully Friday, June 9, 2006 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She bacame ill while attending her granddaughter’s graduation from Yale University. Devoted daughter of the late Asa and Shigekata Ikeda; survived by husband George; daughters, Donna Ito Ruck of Menlo Park, CA; Barbara Ann Ito of Teaneck, NJ, Dr. Valerie Ito Schubert of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, Erin, Alex and Marlies Ruck, Aaron and Michelle Schubert; brother, Dr. Theodore Ikeda; and sister Lillian Tong. Visitation at 10 a.m. on July 6, 2006 and memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m., Christ Church of Chicago UCC, 6047 N. Rockwell, Chicago. In lieu of flowers memorials to Christ Church of Chicago Capital Improvement Fund.
