The global warming debate is heating up. On Monday, the Supreme Court agreed to hear a case on government regulation of greenhouse gases that could determine how the nation addresses global warming. Al Gore is spreading his message about the dangers of global warming with his documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.” And a recent study by the National Academy of Sciences said global temperatures are up, and human activity is mostly responsible. RedEye asked Chicagoans on Monday if they were concerned about global warming.
“Very, very much so. It’s really scary. … The weather has been really, really weird over the past five or six years. I’m sure everybody has seen ‘The Day After Tomorrow.’ That stuff is scary.”
