Star Jones Reynolds is leaving “The View”–and leaving a trail of bitter feelings in her wake.
Jones made the surprising announcement that she’ll leave the set of the daytime chatfest during Tuesday’s show. But the gloves came off shortly afterward. Reynolds told People magazine “I feel like I was fired,” citing ABC’s decision not to renew her contract.
It didn’t help matters that the show will be adding Rosie O’Donnell.
“The View” creator Barbara Walters said she was “betrayed” by Reynolds’ on-air announcement. The announcement had been planned for Thursday, she said.
