Hog calls out chicken
The pork industry says hogs have been on a “diet” for more than a decade, and new government research shows that Americans are getting much leaner pork products that rival skinless chicken breasts, The Associated Press reports.
The National Pork Board announced Monday that feeding and breeding techniques over the past 15 years have produced six common cuts of pork that are 16 percent leaner than in the 1990s.
