Sunday’s “Broken Trail” on AMC rustled up ratings that beat every program that night on the big four networks. The first part of the western mini-series drew 9.8 million total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. That made “Broken Trail” the No. 2 most-watched made-for-cable movie since 1995.

Genie Francis, who originated the role of Laura Spencer on “General Hospital,” will return to the ABC show in October to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Luke and Laura’s wedding, which was seen by 30 million viewers on Nov. 16, 1981, ABC said Tuesday.
