The folks behind the popular Usmania Restaurant, which moved into larger digs earlier this year (2244 W. Devon Ave. 773-262-1900), have opened an even newer spot. Usmania Zabiha Chinese Restaurant (2253 W. Devon Ave. 773-338-4488) offers Indian-style Chinese eats. Say whaaaat? It’s Chinese cuisine spiked with Indian spices, silly! Dig into mainstays like chicken egg foo young ($8.99) or specialties like shrimp chow mein with lobster sauce ($10.99). If Indo-Chinese sounds too daring, head to Chicago Kabana Restaurant (2226 W. Devon Ave. 773-216-6784), which offers more traditional choices like kadhai chicken, or bone-in chicken cooked in a kadhai (think wok) with tomatoes, onions and spices ($6.95); and the shami kebab, a seasoned, minced lamb patty ($6). Dieting? Try the dry-roasted catfish ($6.95) from the low-cal menu.
