– Paris Hilton is lots of things (some of them unmentionable), and now she can add “recording artist” to the list. Hilton’s first single, “Stars Are Blind,” sits at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, Zap2it.com reports. The reggae-inflected song is the highest-ranking new tune on this week’s chart, though it didn’t crack the Top 10 as some were predicting it would.
– Bad eats, hot air and prison are apparently Rob Schneider’s kryptonite. The comedian was filming his latest comedy, “Big Stan,” at a women’s prison in Stockton, Calif., when he reportedly collapsed Wednesday from food poisoning and heat exhaustion. “The combination of bad food and the heat just hit him,” said publicist Shara Koplowitz, adding that he was back on the set Thursday. She had no details about what he ate.
– Lil’ Kim, who was sentenced in September to a year and a day in prison for lying about a shootout outside a hip-hop radio station, is being released Monday, the day before the 4th of July. She will remain under house arrest for 30 days.
