Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have declared their independence–from one another.
The ex-“Newlyweds” couple finalized their divorce, according to court papers filed Friday, and “are restored to the status of single, unmarried persons,” The Associated Press reports.
Simpson filed for divorce in December after three years of marriage. Nick released a solo album in May with the title track “What’s Left of Me.” Simpson’s next album’s title track is “A Public Affair.”
Hmmm.
