Do we want to spend the rest of our lives and beyond fighting a war on terrorism? Future terrorists have not been born yet. We need to somehow approach the leaders of Al Qaeda and open communications. We need to realize that our diplomacy, our culture and our commerce are far superior to our military.
Military solutions do not work anymore.
Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia and now Iraq should have taught us that.
Even Afghanistan is not a victory. The Taliban and the warlords will return the day after American and NATO forces leave.
Time is on the side of the enemy.
The invasion of Iraq was a tragic mistake.
We have been killing insurgents every day for more than three years, and yet they grow stronger.
I doubt that any nation in the Middle East would want to emulate Iraq.
America needs change and new leadership.
